Hey all,

Fairly new to the 4x4 scene and just purchased abit of a "project". Have a 86 super cab with a 3" body lift. The rear shocks are in rough shape and looking to purchase replacements...

The problem is I have NO idea about what size of shocks to order??? With a body lift are they not still the same size? Can someone kindly point me in the right direction?

Thanks

If it just has a body lift, you'll be fine with stock length shocks. The body lift just separates the body from the frame and doesn't change distance between the 2 points at which the shocks attach.

stock shock is all you need. the body lift doesn't change the suspension at all and the shocks attach to the frame and axle or suspension beam. not the body and axle or suspension beam.
