Shocks fit?

So I'm looking online at 4wheelparts and also the MFR's websites and some of these catalogs dont say they will fit a 4wd ranger but will fit a 2wd 01-04 with torsion bars. Am I mistaken in believing that theres no difference in the 2wd torsion front end and the 4wd as far as shock mounts go??

Also I'm looking at some Rancho RS9000XLs or Procomp ES9000s or the MX6's. Anybody run these or have some better ones in mind?
