my shocks are not quite long enough, i've got blisten's on my truck, i put the expo leafs in, and belltech 6400 shackles, took my stock blocks out, but the problem is, it sits about the same as it did before with weight on it, however, at full droop, the shocks are maxed out, i would like to put the blocks back in for clearance of my tires, is there any simple way i can put extensions on my shocks so that they have a little more room for the blocks, or is that just a not going to happen scenario?

Short of cutting and changing your shock mounting locations to work with the current length shocks, your options are either:
A)longer shocks
B)limit straps

They only make extensions for the type of shocks we have on the front.

damn... new shocks are probably a few bucks too eh? i don't really want to cut and weld... that's time and what not...

OMFG i just looked at bilsten's website, $135 a piece for the rear!

Yeah, there not cheap, check out Jc Whittney for them, they run pretty good sales sometimes. How long are your rear shocks, I need longer ones. Maybe I could help you offset the cost for new ones if I could buy yours?

the monroe shocks aren't as good as bilstens though, are they?

r1hatman, i would gladly send them down to you, but i don't know if they would be long enough, or be worth your while being they have 92000km on them, although i don't seem to feel much bouncing in the rear end... mine are stock though, not sure the actual length

id just move the shockmounts up more towards the center of the axle tube, i always hate draggin shockmounts its gets them up out of the way too

Thats a good point too. I did that when I swapped in my Ex axle.

how much work is involved? any major risks while doing it?

simpler question, is there a build thread you guys have seen anywhere? i'll check the TL and search either way

Just cut them off and re-weld them where you want.
