Since searching for shocks pulls up nearly every single post on here ill just ask.

I need some new shocks for my 4x4 extracab, its my work truck and i need something that is able to handle fairly bumpy dirt roads without killing me. Anyone have a favorite shock for this situation?

i like blisten but thats me they are a good cheap shock which last a good while for the price u pay

bilstein. /end thread.
you get what you pay for.
get at least the 5100's... even better are the 5150's...

but you also gotta remember, what coils are on your truck? with stiff coils(like most TTB lift coils); doesn't matter what shocks you have, it'll still beat you to death.

No lift, stock 21 year old springs all around.

there's a couple of options of good stuff out there.
Bilstein's
Rancho 9000's
Old Man Emu's

my personal favorite I've ever used is Bilstein stuff. on all stock truck the 5100's would be a nice addition.

I have to go agree here, i love the Bilsteins in my truck, i just need to save for my front ones

get something with a long warranty, even if they're crap then you just keep getting new ones for the next 5 years or w/e if they crap out.

The little bit of research ive been able to do tells me that the 5100s are for lifted trucks only, am i missing something?

Also it looks like $60-70 a shock from what ive found, is that about right pricewise?

Probably not a popular opinion, but I ran the cheapest ($10 a piece) shock from rock auto, they're pretty stiff, but I never really minded the rough ride.
