Hi all,
whats the best/cheapest way to ship a trans? would ups take it? build a crate for it, or pallet it?

I sold a 5sp. tranny out of my ranger to a guy in S. Carolina.
All i did was cut a piece of osb the size of the tranny. Then i shrink wrapped the tranny to it. I did drain the fluid out of it first.

I did ship it UPS also. You might have to pay extra for the weight but oh well. mine weighed 98lbs.

i went to a junkyard and they ordered it from like 100 miles away from another city

I'd get a pallet and cut it down to the size you need, and then take it to a lumber yard and get them to band it. That’s what we did with radiators but we had are own bander.
