Anyone got one of these 1354 manual “shiftsters” laying around after doing a swap? TBH I am tired of the electrical BS on this truck, replaced the motor and now she won’t go into 4L , might be as simple as a relay but i’m over it. looking for fair and reasonable, don’t mind climbing under the truck since the alternative is 900 beans.

I don’t need on the fly.

If not i’ll likely just fab one up.

If you have 3-D printer or know somebody who does the STI file is in this thread.

The shifter is just a simple knob As far as I can see.

I could use the STL but i don’t wanna revive the thread from the dead 🥲

You don't need to. Check the last post and there's a link to the file from September. If the link is bad, pm the poster.

oh my , i’m dumb , thought it was one page and died. i can work with that. thanks for the help.

The shiftster is more than a knob. It also has index plates and a locking pin device to hold the shift rail in place so it can't rotate.

true. I wanted to print the thing referenced so that I can make sure it works when I'm down there swapping my clutch, if it does what I want it to I will spend the time in CAD designing something that doesn't cost 900 beans. I am fully aware there is a frame and locking detent in the shiftster. I am being lazy and didn't wanna pull the transfer case motor until I had one of these little things printed. I could actually mod this to have a gear, print a linear gear in a frame , and make a locking mechanism. In the mean time I can now mod this with a little longer of a "goose neck" and mod the face to have a pin, and print up a face plate after its confirmed , and it'll essentially be a shiftster. reverse engineering.

So looking at my wiring on the Auto harness, I see where i need to fix my loops on the transmission, grey/red blue/yel. but I am still going path fwd with this “thing”. transfer case is pulled, since I gotta swap my clutch anyway. I might go back into that other thread and post the “base” files when i’m done. I will also come up with a few solutions so crawling under the truck isn’t necessary.

Still working on it , but as promised, we’re getting there. “almost” done with the Crawl under the truck print in place version. just gotta map out the detent angles. Also gotta verify the “press fit”

Hiya, how has this project been going? I'd be keen to potentially have a go at this sort of thing on my car if it has gone well. Cheers

I totally forgot to post it here, since I was busy deer hunting . lol. It works, i ordered a locking pin that kinda fit ok. printed it in 3 pieces and had to file an area to get it to fit. I need to make it PIP . remind me in one week and i’ll get to it. Too much going on this weekend

Who is the electrical engineer with the yellow edge that used power window switches relays and LEDs to control an electric T case?

He had a very detailed write up, but then the forum it was on disappeared.
