Hey guys i'm new to the rangerstation, love the site by the way! but im having some shifting problems with my ranger, if it sits for a couple hours or overnight it takes a really long time shift wen u first put it in drive, like it'll tach out at like 3 grand and doesnt shift out, you kinda have to get in the gas a lil bit and get out of it to get it to shift but after that .. it'll shift with a jerk but then shift fine the rest of the time unless u let it sit for a long time then it's the same situation again.. jus woundering wat i need to do to solve this problem, i like the truck it was given to me by my brother.. o it's a 91 ranger with a 2.3 litr 8 plug wire set up engine with of course an auto transmision.. Thanks for any help u can give me..:annoyed:

I am thinking it's the vaccum modulator, have'nt crawled under it to look at it yet. does that sound like that is my problem??

You are in the process of discovering why I often refer to "Automatics"
as "Autotragic"

The A4LD trans you have is made in france?

What more do you need to know about it?
