Need help with shifter knob wanting to change it what do i do cut new theads or what

unscrew or cut the old one off, put the new one on, and then tighten up the mounting screws.

yours may not be threaded at all. a lot of rbv's shifter knobs are just "glued" on and you just have to pull it off. and it is way harder to do than said. prepare to have a busted knuckle or two.

Most aftermarket shifter have the little locknut setup. And alot fo them come with a silicon or plastic sleeve for fitment so you should just be able to pull one off and slide the other on.
