89 ford ranger 2w drive 5 speed manual. me and my friend replaced the clutch slave cylinder etc. when my friend removed the shifter he didnt have it in neutral he beleives 5th gear it was and removed the shifter. i cant get any gears now once we put it back in . i seen theirs a tab that seems spring loaded . i played with this for 2 hrs now i had it with grabbing gears but then it felt weird going into fifth and like a idiot we pulled it out again . is their any easy way to get this shifter in with out messing with it for another 2 hrs
