Shifter moving. Worn tranny/engine mounts?

When in gear and accelerating hard the shifter moves sideways about 3/4". This is a 5spd.

Since the mounts are rubber I figure some movement is acceptable. Is that too much though. I didn't see any cracks on the mounts when I looked.

Thanks.

May be a change the shifter bushing and the other set of hockey puck :icon_rofl:

mine does the same. the drivetrain parts are under ALOT of torque. its completely normal as long as you don't hear noises, or it snaps off obviously.

Check your motor mounts.

Once I got the turbo motor installed in my truck, I realized that the whole time mine was doing that (when I had the original 4 banger) was because my drivers side motor mount was completely separated from itself.

A prybar is all you need too.

Go ahead and do all of the mount checks, god knows i did the first time i saw my shifter move, but i'm telling you, its normal.
