Shifter I.D.

I acquired 2 almost new shifters from a friend, said they were for a ranger, but did not recall what trans. I have an 88 & 92 with M50D trannys. These must be of some use to someone .

The one with the smaller top plate appears to be from a FM 145 or 146

Top or Right is Mitsumi, Left or bottom is FM 146,

I would be REALLY interested in the FM 146 (Smaller one)

I personally don't believe either is from any trans used in a Ford Ranger

An FM145 Has a unique PLASTIC shifter housing that looks like the one for the T-K trans
but the bolt pattern is a trapezoid (it's a rectangle with one corner offset)

The FM146 or FM132 had a ROUND plate with four bolt Holes

The Smaller shifter has a round retainer plate with THREE holes
on top of the rectangular aluminum base

I'll stick with "No" for either

Well Allen..... It would appear you are right about the FM146, I just went and looked at my spare, and there is no way that the small one would fit, the bolt pattern is square, not rectangle.

Big, I'll have to decline on the purchase, ok ?
