Hi all,
So, I have a 92 Ranger that I put a new clutch, pressure plate, and csc in. Well I didn't have the trans in neutral when I pulled the shifter, and I'm having a heck of a time getting the rails lined back up. Does anyone have any pics of what they should look like, or a detailed explanation of what position they should be when the trans is in neutral? It's got the Mazda 5 speed in it. Thank you all for your help in advance!!!

i messed with mine when i had it apart to make sure it would shift right both the shifters in the tranny need to be in the right place to shift just slide the forks back on and get them lined up and it should shift

Fixed it!!

Thanks for all your help guys, greatly appreciated. After checking your links, I noticed I was missing the lower bushing in the shifter, so today I went to Ford Shifter School, located at my local Pick-a-Part. I found a 5 speed Ranger, PUT IT IN NEUTRAL, removed the shifter, and took note of how things are supposed to be aligned. It had good bushings, so I grabbed those, went home and aligned my shift rails, put in the "new" used bushings, put it all together, and everything is wonderful again.
Once again, thanks for all your help, and have a great one.
