Shape of things to come?

Actually they have for a very long time... just not in the US.

Ok so what transmission is it? We need info so we can import them and do swaps.

They don't even offer a manual in their Super Duty trucks anymore. Why would they offer one in the "lesser" grade trucks?
This was done for torque and smog reasons. Ford alleges that tighter emissions/fuel economy standards and better control of power delivery can be achieved with the new automatics. Then Ford turned around and sold the manual everywhere except the USA. In short, we voted for this, we made our bed and must lie in it.

Swap hardware is available, and as a bonus, its available on the same exact continent as us Americans.

Really this thread should be a giant FU to Ford. To quote Enzo Ferrari.... You are not Henry Ford, You are Henry Ford the 2nd.....

Now goto war ford grow a pair of balls and atleast offer manual transmissions to your nation of origin. Stop being a bunch of treasonous criminals. You are taking our freedom of choice away. That's as bad as Benedict Arnold himself!!!!!! I hope they read this. ? ur ( | ) ford.

I never voted to lose my manual transmissions or for cleaner air. Or less oil.... sounds like tyranny to me.

We "voted" for it when tree hugging politicians were elected into office. You know, the ones who know what we want and need better than we do?

"We" "Voted" and we got CAFE standards in the 70s and we keep getting those standards tightened.

The "myth" that the USA has the strictest auto emissions in the world is not a myth. Manufacturers do anything they can to get their cars under that average that conveniently only applies to the USA. Go to Europe, look at their diesels. Their equivalent of our $500 burner Civic is a $500 burner Skoda or Citroen diesel. Stick, barebones emissions... Then go to Asia, India, Africa, South America, and have yourself a look under the hood. In many places like Mexico you won't even find catalytic converters as they aren't reuired.

Oh, and Cummins swaps? Ford sold the modernized 4BT (ISB170) in their F250s/350s from the factory in Brazil. Gets 25+ MPG in a 4x4 fullsize but doesn't make the "power and torque requirements of the American user" so we don't see them here.

The same with crash standards in a lot of ways. Thus part of the reason why we can't get some of those cool vehicles that other countries get that we can't.

Legitimately NEED swap info for my fleet vehicles!!!

Seriously, I'm sending a 2011 F350 to the crusher (company vehicle - too dangerous to sell over liability reasons) over the ****ing auto that's in it.

Please, any info you have would help greatly!!

The 2011s were built in the US then sent to Mexico. Find yourself a donor south of the border. Might have to render it destroyed to import it. Buy one that's wrecked in back and you can get yourself some cash from the doors/panels/etc and you get a spare diesel.

Practica su Espanol.

The new Super Duties are shipped with auto only in Mexico. They have some other cool stuff though, the "Lobo" (Spanish for Wolf) looks like another 150. Checking Brazil here in a sec. I don't speak Portuguese so we'll see how well that goes.

....and if you're gonna send it to the crusher, could you send it to Washington instead? I can cover shipping.

EDIT:

Looks like no more trucks sold in Brazil!

Good old fashioned crusher. Belongs to the company, so don't want the liability, even tangentially.

With as bad as it is, I'd feel like crap if something happened to someone over it.

Also, I f I were going to blow it up, HMX FTW.
