Shackles in front vs back question

ahhh. that explains some of it.

turned out great imo from the pics.

pretty much consider hi steer as mandatory myself. though there is many ways to deal with the steering. changing things up add experience with the platform.

i had some tuning issues as my particular rig was in between what i had worked with, and actually quite challenging in the end. shit never ends though:icon_rofl:

i have a f/w 8.8 and i could get a 44 cheap as hell around here (150-200) and that would be plenty strong for what im gonna do, gonna make up for the tire size with lockers lol

but at the same time i got this xj d30 with 297x and superior shafts with 4.56's and ox locker, so i dunno i might use that to barter with. i just dont like the stability(or lack of) with my stock width b2 in the offcamber stuff. thats the thing i liked the most about my yj was full width. super stable. but at the same time there was alot of trails i couldnt run because of the width 38.5x15.50's on 15x12's prolly didnt help either lol.

this isnt going to be something in the near future im just trying to figure out what i want to do. i really want a ranger cab and flatbed on my b2 frame, but might buy a dd beater and do it all a little at a time. but projects like that seem to take forever and u have parts strowed out all over the place.:dunno:

i have some issues with the 42's/44's on trails local due to width...if my wheel base was shorter it wouldnt be bad. but 128 inches and that wide makes for some careful forward momentum to protect the enviroment.

dont really wish to trail run with those fat bastard tires though...but i have to deal with powerline and well stuff so the tires actually really keep me from tearing that stuff up. 35-39 seems better for trail use.

yea i wanna do 35's prolly no bigger for a while, since after this things done it will be my dd.i dd'd my yj on 38.5's for about 3 years. thing was just too dam big for running errands, getting in an out and shit. gonna try to keep it low and trim what i got to nice and cleanlike. this thing aint gonna see hardcore for a while so pretty much wanna just build it so i can have fun and not be breaking all the time. the thing is too dam low with 2.5" and 30's. i need at least 4" more of lift to run the trails im gonna run
