if i where to do the axle flip would my truck sit level or would my front end be higher than the rear

youre front end i think woul sit higher than youre back would dude. The easy way to know would b to just measure the top of ur fender whell front and back to c how high they sit.

What the hell!??? I posted a response to this about an hour ago and I WATCHED it get put here... but now it's not?

Am I cursed or something?

I originally said "You should just do the shackle flip and see how it sits. Flipping shackles is relatively quick, easy, and easily reversible. You'll need 8 one and a half inch long bolts of 3/8" size as well as nylock nuts and washers (I went with regular nuts and lock washers, but it's all the same). If it does sit lower than the front afterwards, then just reverse it and you'll know if you would rather do a beam/flip kit type drop.

I did the flip kit w/ beams and it put my truck damn near level. It sat 1/2" higher in the back than front... I really really liked that stance, but for me it got old quick. I had no travel in my suspension and I was always hitting bumpstops on the roads around my town.

Anyways... Any more questions?"

I hate my computer/internet service...

so what i want to do is a shackle flip then i can still have my little towing capabilities is there a kit i have to buy or do i literally just flip it over

I got a kit from belltech for my old 92 because I snapped two in half. But Belltech doens't have a kit anymore when I went to price out beams and leaf springs on Monday.

No - if you look at your bracket - the mount for the shackle is UP and when flipped it is DOWN . . .

right but you cant just pull out those bolts flip that piece and put the bolts back in?

It's not going to change anything...

The bracket that is riveted to the frame in the picture is already flipped, take a look at yours on your truck on you'll see.

I'll get some pictures up here tonight when I get home.

Pics for you. Pretty pointless though... the finish product is posted already by IrishBlessing.

Here's how they look on my ride.

Also, you could combine that flip with these.

Those with the regular shackle flip should give you just over 3" of drop. I don't know exactly how much my shackle flip lowered my truck because I did it when I raised it back up from the flip kit and I never took a measurement of my truck before I ever started lowering it.

I WILL, however, take measurements before and after the front hangar swap. I seriously can't wait to get them in, but have to wait for the free time to come around.

a axle flip will not effect ur ride quality at all if u have lowrider shocks but u will have less room between the differential and the frame now. so put too much weight in the back and its going to be a bumpy ride.
