Just redid my front rear shackle mount, didnt like the last mount that i had. Added alot more beef and gave my shackles more angle. U guys think this is to much or should i make it less, every thing is tacked right now and it does have full weight on the suspension. :icon_welder:

When you say you changed the shackle angle, did you raise or lower the shackle mount? Otherwise if the hole is in the same spot...the shackle will always be the same angle (unless the springs progressively get saggier). I guess I need to see the before picture

The mount is new and i put the shackle mount more forward. My last mount had the shackles straight up and down.

U can see my old shackle and mount in this photo. My old way had the shackle almost straight up and down with the weight on the suspension.

That is too much angle. It needs to be right around 30-45 degres with the weight of the vehicle on it.

Wouldn't that make that lean back even more. Right now I'm at 60

I think that will be fine....

Just got done welding it up and putting everything back together. Took it for a little drive around the block and it rode a lot better. But it did take the front end down a little. I also think I picked the worst 2 days to do this, heat index was 110 today!

I looked at the photo a little better and yea, I think that'll work. The mount looks TONS better too.

Thanks guys! I have wanting to do this for a while now, just didn't like the first mount and the shackle angle was just to steep.
