Service Records from the Dealer?

I recently purchased an 04 Edge. The local dealer has service records for this truck but will not let me see them.

All I want is the maintenance history without any personal information.

Is there a way to get this?

A friend wanted to buy a used first generation BMW M5 from a dealer in Ca. and wanted me to go with him, at that time I was a working beemer tech. The salesman had no problem handing us the vehicles records. (my friend bought the car)
I DID have him buy the extended maintenance package and it paid for itself the first month when a tranny bearing failed (manual) and all he had to pay for was a new clutch.
