Serpentine Setup question

I'm doing a 2000 Mustang-Ranger swap, I have a 1996 f150 Serpentine Setup will it fit and work?

need more information, what components are you using from the f150 on the mustang motor? how long is the belt on the f150 versus the mustang verus what youre actually going to be running?

Try to stay with the same donor parts. One you mix and match things that don't need to be, it becomes a headache.

I'd find the 2000 mustang brackets to simplify the build.

It's a 2000 Ranger with a 96 ford 150 5.0 with mustang injection and harness, I have the full f150 belt setup and I don't have any of the belt setup for a mustang.

You're really trying to make it hard for him. Cabin fever setting in already up North? That would be a 4.6. Best front dress is the Explorer. TeddyZee said it's not hard to use the Mustang wiring and computer in the later Rangers but I'd sure get the wiring diagrams to check it out for yourself.

Wiring is super easy already got that done, just trying to fit everything in with air, Power steering, and 3g alt and I can't find an Explorer setup, so I'm looking for options..

Please send me sketchs or what ever you have to make the Mustang fit wiring with the later Ranger. I really need something to do this Winter, can draw them up for everyone. I was alway told it was way too hard and probably miss led a lot of people.

Other donors for the FEAD (Front End Accessory Drive) will be the 96-2001 Mountaineer 5.0 (same as the Exploder) or the 88-93 T-Bird/Cougar 5.0, and the 94-95 Mustang 5.0 stuff.

Mac, I bought the swap manual from Harwood Performance Engineering, which had all the electrical stuff for all years ranger to mustang harness. Run a search and it will show up, this guy spent lots of time putting the manual together and it is well worth the money..

Mike, well familiar with that manual but didn't think he went into the '98' and newer trucks. Go to page 58 in the manual and those are my transmissions shown for comparison. I worked with him a bit when he first put that manual out. Had absoultely no idea of the wiring.

Mike, are you 2wd or 4wd? If 2wd, is it Coil spring or torsion bar susp?

If you want to keep A/C, certainly the easiest way is to find a small front dress setup. It will allow you to keep your rad in the stock position, and even has room for a mechanical fan if you choose. FYI, the car ('94/'95 Mustang, late Cougar 5.0) alternator mounts like a Mustang (obviously...) while the Ex/Mountaineer use the Ranger Alt, with bolts going in the opposite (up-down) direction.

Here's mine far comparison. I'm using Fox Mustang setup, my Rad has been moved under the core support (very easy to do), but it lives where the A/C condensor used to:

That's a Mustang Alt bracket on mine, but I chopped the ugly top and tensioner off.
The condesor could probably fit in front, but that would require some cutting.

Other than that, the F-150 would work fine.
If you have a 2wd/Coil spring truck, I'm very curious what you will do for mounts/headers.
