Hello All,
I pick up my new 2009 Ranger regular cab manual 2.3 rwd on Sept. 5. I am trading in my 2006 VW golf Tdi which is a great car but still not a truck. This is my second ranger I traded my 2000 ranger 4x4 xlt to get the golf. That truck after 140,000 km had a faulty transmission and had a replacement put in and 2 weeks later the second transmission (rebuilt) was doing the same sharp shifting the first one did, it was an automatic.

Most of the old rangers I see on the road in Ontario are rwd manual is this something you guys have noticed as well?

Mike

Congrats on the truck. I' sure you will be happy with it. Welcome to TRS and post up some pics as soon as you can for us to compiment. And I am officially game to make September 5th, Ranger Day.

Welcome to TRS~!

Mine is RWD and has a manual tranny too...but originally it had a 2.9 with an auto...I've seen way more manuals in the older ones too, but I think that was the mentality back then...trucks need to have shifters on the floor and four or five gears...pretty much most of the cars I drove were "standard"...the old term for manual tranny...and driving a "stick" was a macho thing...

Pics today?!?

:icon_thumby: congrats man...pics.....yes...... and to answer your question being originally from Ontario your right I always did notice more 2WD rangers kicking around.

Me, :yahoo:I pick mine up on sept 10

Hello All,
I would like to post pics but I am having trouble with my digital camera. I woudl also like to ask if any of you guys have used bedliner mats in your trucks? Do the mats hold moisture between the bottom of the box and mat itself?

Thanks for the replies to my original post
Mike
