Sensor on block above starter?

Hi all, need some help IDing a sensor for replacement.
'87 BII 4WD, 5-speed manual. Sensor is located on the drivers side of the block right above the starter, connector broke off while I was changing the starter out and I cant figure out what that sensor is.

Off the top of my head, the oil level sensor plugs into the side of the oil pan by the starter. Not the oil pressure sensor, but rather the oil level sensor.

Correct, but that would be level with or below the starter. If it is a sensor actually going into the block, and I would think it is being above the starter, it's either going to be the oil pressure sensor or knock sensor. I'm not sure that the 2.9L even had a knock sensor.

The level sensor is on the pan below the starter. I figured out what the sensor above the starter is, it's the knock sensor

It's the knock sensor. The pressure sensor is at the front of the engine.
