I have a problem with both my Rangers. The vent/floor/defrost selctor is stuck on both trucks. My 93 stuck about a month ago. My 94 did the same thing tonite. They stuck in the position that they were set. One stuck on floor/defrost the other truck is stuck on panel/floor. The selectors would not move at all so being pissed off i forced the levers and they moved but feel loose. So I know I broke something, but what would cause the dampers to just stick and not move. Tonite I had been moving the lever all night between floor and panel, didnt touch it for a while. Decided to switch back to floor and what do ya know stuck, thus I proceeded in my fit of rage to force the lever and kapop she goes. Please Help.

If it's cable driven, you can get at the remote cable end by popping out the glovebox. Sometimes the hinges rust; perhaps you can get in there with some 3-in-1. Don't use WD-40 as it is both temporary (too light) and you'll be smelling it for the next several years.
