Seeking good Ranger mechanic in MD

Hello everyone, brand new to the forum… great to have found this.

I’ve already read a good deal of the ‘traffic’ on ‘P0306 Cylinder 6 Misfire Detected’ - and quickly came to the conclusion that this is way beyond the kind of diagnosis and investigation I could do at home.

Does anyone in the forum know if there’s a good mechanic to take my 2002 Ranger to, to begin to close in on this issue?

MVA here is horrible - this situation causes an inspection failure, which triggers a block to renewal of registration, and that cascades into more problems. MD is the worst for this!

While not a quick answer to your question, it might help give you some leads to people you can contact that might have the information you are looking for. This section of the forum lists people by region and if you click on their name, it will show if they have been on recently. Then you can try sending them a private message. If they don't logon to the forum often, but have email notifications setup, they might see that you sent a message and respond.

You have to have so many posts first. I wanna say it's 10 or 25 before you can send a message.

The numer of post you have made is a thing. One thing you could do is make a post in the introduce yourself thread to help bring up your count. Once you have the right amount of posts, when you click on a person's name, there should be an option to send a message.
