After all the reading on here about seat swaps and hesitation from calling people on craigslist for expo seats, I finally installed my seats/console yesterday. Took me all day/night to do it. Made sure I took my time though. Got my console last week from another forum member and painted it black. Need to get the armrest colored as well. Seats are from a '98 expo and bought from a guy who manages a transmission shop for $65. Gonna take the truck there this summer for a new clutch because of a better warranty. They are powered seats but didn't have the time to wire'em up. Need to sand off the rust on them. Just took the seats off the tracks and put them on my original tracks. Carpet was factory pre-cut for a center console. Only thing about the console is that I need a front bracket to keep it more stable. Now I need to get some seat covers. If anyone can help out with the seat wiring much help would be appreciated. Any other trim pieces I can paint black? So what do you all think? Let the criticism begin. HA!
