There are places to get new carpet kits, dashboards, door insterts- is there some place that sell re-upholstery kits for the seats?? I have an 85 that the seats are in great shape except for a couple small rips. I put seat covers on but they always look like crap. Just looking for some kind of kit to redo my original seats

It's called going to a store and buying your choice of fabric, the reupholstering it as you would any piece of furniture... if you know how.

Not much for being a seamstress. the last seat I tried looked worse than when I started. but if there is someplace that I can get prestitched covers that I can put on- let me know

try lmctruck.com thats the only place i know of

Try the yellow pages for reupholstery shops...there used to be quite a few around but I haven't seen any lately...but I know they're out there...may be considerably more expensive than doing it yourself but at least you have the option of saying you're not satisfied with their work...

the other option would be to shop around for new seats...

recovering bench seats is pretty simple. all you need is a hog ring pliers and a hog ring cutters. just make note of how the old cover was installed, remove it, lay the new cover out in the sun and then hog ring the new one on in place of the old one.

thanks guys- might need to do a wrecking lot pull- LMC truck has what I need but damn I was hoping to be out of it with a few hundred. Went to a local upholstery shop, they quoted 250 per seat- Ouch
