Hi, Just wanted to take this opportunity to say thanks to all who run and all who contribute to this site. I don't post much but that hasn't stopped me from gaining a whole lot of amusement, entertainment and information from you all - oh, and a different perspective on American life that we don't see on our TV screens...
So, to all of you have a good Christmas and all the best for the coming year, get those projects up and running.

Merry Christmas! I too am very grateful for this site. I also think it's cool that you learned something about us Americans, too.

Just wondering... I don't know a whole lot about England, but from what I do know is that their vehicles are right hand drive. Is that Ranger RHD?! I didn't think they ever made an RHD model, but could be wrong!

My Ranger's LHD - it's been over here since it was imported from Pompano Beach, Florida in 1990 - why anybody would go to the trouble of importing one of these back then is beyond me as it couldn't have made sense financially. It originally belonged to Republic Airlines of Detroit Over here it is a pretty rare vehicle - gets a few looks - usually from the disreputable types...LHD isn't a problem when you get used to it, and it's an auto' which makes driving easy. Worse thing is you got a different sense of scale over there - people moan cos it takes up one and a half spaces in the Tesco car park...

little snow, eh? that would be considered just a little "flurry" where i live.
used to drive a rhd postal jeep over here. no problems at all. after just a few miles, you get used to it. having lived in europe for a few years back in the 70's, i know what you mean about the 'sense of scale' you referred to. little cars that get great gas mileage rule over there. and in most other parts of the world really. sooner or later (probably later) we'll get that message over here.
well, enjoy the snow and the season and have a happy holiday!
cheers!!

hey,man.....merry christmas.

as for the lhd ranger there,it's no different than my rhd toyota i have here....got used to it in no time.you should try driving something like my f350 over there.....i have to park out in the toolies here just so i can take up 3 spaces.

that's a good looking ranger you got there....must be fun finding parts.

wow, a 2nd ranger in euroupe! england and norway, wasn't there one in germany also guys? when i first read the tittle of the thread, i was thinking of new england :P

seasons greetings from california!

Merry Christmas to you to Sir!
This place is about as American as you can get!

Merry Christmas from across the pond! My wife was born in Lakenheath England and has dual citizenship. If we ever get sick we are coming over the pond! My ancestors are Scottish and my wife's are Irish and Scottish. With the way things are going over here in America, I have thought several times about moving to Scotland and getting a small cottage and do woodworking or something , I'm pretty handy? Anyways Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Hey man, merry christmas to you as well. Ill be flying over from Houston to LHR next sunday to spend time with the girlfriends family. First few days will be in Marlow (in buckinghamshire), and then its up to Cardiff for new years. Being from Texas i'm not looking forward to snow. But I can't wait to get over there again. I always learn so much.
Cheers! (Ill drink one for the under 21 guys and gals on the TRS when I get there)
