Ok i just took out my Tranny and TC but am going to be reusing my TC. I need to know if the transmission extension housing uses a gasket seal or rtv or whatever on the tranny side and the tc side.

Beyond that what other seals, gaskets or rtv Do i need to pick up and replace while the tranny is out??

Thanks everyone for the help.:icon_confused:

Transmission extension housing uses a gasket seal. DO NOT make the mistake the PO did with ours. He RTV'd the crap out of it, and RTV can break off and clog the filter.

If you can not find the correct gasket it's possible to "make your own" using gasket paper. (how we did ours actually...a little cutting and notching out...and it's sealed nicely)

The Torque Converter uses a lip seal. Check the neck of the current torque converter for any "Ridge Marks". If you see one? I'd urge either the use of a "Speedy Seal" or replacement of the torque converter. (the ridge can tear up seals)

Don't forget...while it's out? Great time for pan gasket and filter..Flush out the cooler lines as well.
