Sealing d35 pig to beam?

seems like a better idea to apply the RTV to the pig itself that way you know exactly where the RTV is going to contact the beam...just my opinion..

I simply smeared a thin layer of black RTV on the beam itself, let it sit for a few minutes and plopped the pig in the beam. No leaks.

i cleaned the edges with degreaser and bead both sides and screw the wait mine didnt leak and i jump the truck lol, and dripped a bit on the bead by accident just dabbed it off
