Anyone know if scrap prices have recovered any? The best paying yard I have taken stuff to here has apparantly closed shop. It is completely cleaned out.

Yea, that's when I started hauling sheet iron in, sounds about right on the price. Every time it seemed it was going up, kinda pissed me off haha but that's the market.

Here in CT They are paying $80 a ton:sad: Last year it was $160 a ton. It will still just cover my  :D

We got $130 a ton here in Louisville 2 weeks ago. That was for scrap steel.

That is some good prices. Is that for steel or cars and tin? I get $80 a ton for anything I bring down tin, cars and other fluff.

i had a pontiac 6000 on the trailer and loaded it full of misc scrap, lots of cast iron, steel and anything else that stuck to a magnet and could be shoved in, i got 130 a ton...

i was just cleaning up my yard and hauled everything away, i could have gotten more cash if i had seperated it all and hauled seperatly, but i needed my yard back, i do this every year before snow falls...
