School me on wheels

I just installed a 4/5 drop on my 2002 Ranger. It now sits on 2003 Explorer 5 spoke 17's. The wheels sit way to far in the fender wells for my taste. They need to be out about 1.5-2'' on each side to sit close to flush with the body.

I know the 15'' factory wheels had a 12mm inset. So I'm thinking i need like a 35-40mm inset to get the wheel farther to the outside?

Does anyone know what the mustang bullet / torque thrust looking wheels have? Or what Factory Ford 17's have a closer offset/inset that I'm looking for?
