need some help here. every time my sas 93 ranger hits a bump in the highway the truck starts shaking violently. i need to now if a steering stabilier and sway bar will help

ok if i where you, i would first do a compression test....this will tell you if you have a cylinder or valve issue. then i would check for spark on all 6 cylinders, or 4 you didnt mention how many. then if all thats fine, check the injectors.
start with the compression check and then let us know the numbers, so we can kinda point you in the right direction... :nono:

what is the caster on the front axle?coil conversion or leaf? if its coil are the steering link and track bar at the same angle?

I've come across death wobble tree times on trucks I've lifted. And all three trucks were fixed by changing the caster.
87 Silverado K20 8" lift on 40"s------Fixed with 6deg shims
02 F-250 SD PSD 6" lift on 37"s-----Fixed with 2deg shims
67 Bronco 5.5" lift on 36"s----------Fixed with 7deg bushings

Your situation may not be the same but, I highly recommend checking alignment.

I have come across it on a stock XJ, turned out to be a bad track bar mount/joint
