Saw a Black Lightning F-150 this morning on the way to work. The headlight system caught my attention, so I rolled down the window, for a better look. Only sound I could here was the wind and tires. The wind noise threw me for a surprise. I guess you usually don't hear the wind, but there was a "woosh" of air around that rig. Pretty cool to see.

I seen 1 on a car hauler with a load of gas 150s. It was on the top shelf. I passed it and noticed....it dont have a frame??? Or was my eyes playing tricks

It's got panels on the bottom to block wind for air-e-o dy-namics

Yeah, they are really sweet - crazy fast and ride very nice. If only they would deliver us more than one every couple months....

Those panels might be the bottom of the battery pack.

Some are, but I've seen the bottoms of the A-arms and rear suspension parts get a flat panel too. Or it could have been the Rivian RT1 (?) Saw the first one ( for me ) the other day too. My daughter thought it was a Tesla truck.

I've seen a handful up here lately, super neat headlight dealio.

There is a rivian I see boppin around here sometimes.

I wouldn’t be surprised.

Engineering Explained did a video not that long ago about needing to replace an aero panel on the bottom of one of his rear control arms that got ripped off after hitting some road debris. I believe it was a separated tread from a tire that he hit.

I cant remember where I saw the bottom side, but the first thing I thought of was "HotWheel". It literally looked like the bottom of a die cast toy.

Plus they're butt-fugly. Ford revives the name Lightning and put's it on a truck that, for the most part, doesn't look any different than any other F-150 out there. Doesn't deserve the name Lightning. And don't haul a 5000 pound trailer with it, you'll get around 85 miles and need a recharge. LOL!!

Lightning should of been a shortbox 2wd with a S/C 7.3 godzilla. IMO

They did the same thing with the "Mustang". Tainted the name.

I'm hearing stupid conflicting news...One buddy tells me they cancelled his order and returned his deposit. Another guy tells me has has been shopping used models, so there's used lightning's available but no new ones?
