Saturday @ Cow Mountain

Nice score!

I wish I could find one local for less than $600 so I can start on my 4.0 swap.

If I remember correctly you tried to pawn your old shit off on us or something like that?
yeah that was me trying to get rid of some posi axles:thefinger:.some kid in maryland bought them through the ranger station.since then i've hydrolocked my truck and swapped in the 4.0/m5od and a snorkle:clapping:.

funny about your b2,now i remember.but it had red extended rad. arms at least right?:tease:.

i always wanted to ask about the top.was it the rancho kit?home made?i worked with a mechanic named kevin casillas who said he helped you(or someone in ukiah with a ragtop b2) do the conversion, but he was totally full of shit, the customers loved him.

small world for sure.

hows the stability with the FW sas? probably feels great eh?

Should have a set here this friday!!

Cheers

sounds good, maybe i'll see you out there.i'll try to get a few buddies to bring their trucks.

i'll try and be over by the saftey course around 2:00

Rick,

not sure of the name Kevin? A place towards pennollivlle did the top! I had a different guy make the first one, but he screwed me over in a big way! Charged me 700$ for a rag that had holes in all the seams you could push a mini mag through! I basically gave it back, gave him 200$ for his time and said fairwell....

Ended up using the remaining 500$ at that other shop that did quality work!

The stability is awesome! although I'm still getting used to the feel of it! It does like to sway in corners, but anyone that has been behind me says there is little to no body lean! its all in the coils I think?

That B2 I had when I worked with the BLM had a 6" skyjacker class II on it! Other than the chop top it was relatively stock! I sold that B2 to a buddies girlfriend who rolled it a week later!

I just got home with the xplorer donor vehicle so I'll hopefull start the 4.0 and tranny swap soon! I'm looking foward to seeing how thing go!

Would definately like to get together and do some wheeling!

Cheers bud

aw man i want to throw FS axles under my b2 now, that thing looks bad ass. to bad im on the complete other end of the country lol. nice rig.

One of these days will have to get some of us Cali guys together and meet up Cow Mountain. Maybe sometime in the spring before it gets too hot and dry.

I can think of two others that would love to go! My self and Jason (pictured in the Red BII)

pretty brave wheeling that courier tranny with no first!i'll try and be there:icon_hornsup:

what kind of shape is your interior in? you could swap the sploder dash and all wiring into your truck-then you'd only need to figure out the wiring for the taillight/fuel harnesses. like this guy

hey guys if we're going to do an rbv run later maybe a snow run at pillsbury would be cool?hard to do it in a day though.

I'm not too sure when the BII will be back on the road! While the 4.0 conversion shouldn't bee too difficult..... it needs some cleaning up! The Explorer was a "Ranch" truck so there is ALOT of mice ativity in the harness! I found nothing so far that suggest anything is damaged, but I need to look everything over very closely!

That fact that the Ex starts right up and runs great leads me to believe the mice were just living in it while it sat during the duration of the sale!

I've almost got the motor ready to pull out.... just taking it slow to avoid over looking anything!

A snow trip sounds awesome!

Cheers
