Saturday @ Cow Mountain

Thans Engdept,

I think the hardest part of this is finding an EX with the manual! I might have found a local deal for a 91 EX, but I'm certian it has an auto in it! The guy only wants 500 for the whole rig! All it needs is a Radiator and some TLC.... Looks like it would be the perfect donor.... if even for the 4.0!

Ranger8800,

What part of NorCal you from? Takes about 1.5 hours from where I'm at to reach Cow Mtn!

Cheers and thanks again!

Not even really sure where the waterfull is? Now I'm interested!

Can't really explain how to get there. I could drive right to it if I was down there. Random pic I found on the net.

Looks like you were down at the very end on the Lake county side, haven't been down there in a long time. Funny thing is I almost went to mess around up there on Saturday but figured it would have been closed since it usually is after it rains. Looks like you had a good time and glad the truck worked out well!

NorCal,

Yup! Haven't been to Cow in years! Well ever sense I quit working for the BLM. I thought it might be closed as well..... I remember always closing it when it rained! Happy they didn't though.

Appreciate the comments!

Cheers

they're out there-actually there are a couple in ukiahs wrecking yard now i believe.one with a long arm kit.

get a non egr donor truck so its one less part to worry about when you swap.

the faded orangish/red b2 looks familiar, are you guys from around santa rosa? i talked to a guy parts hunting at pick-n-pull in windsor who had a truck just like that on 33" toyo's.
what tire sizes are you running and where on cow were you?

its always cool to see another rbv wheeler local that i might meet on the trail, nice trucks:icon_hornsup:

lol... that BII wasn't RED, it was two tone black and silver! And it was mine! :yahoo: You can find it here on one of the mag articles!

As for the Red BII and pick-n-pull.... that would of been me and jayman! (Jason) Same BII as back than! If I remember correctly you tried to sell some 4.11 gears or something like that?

As for Red Mtn! We were headed that way, but it got dark too fast!

I'll be up there again shortly!

Small world isn't it?

I just bought a house in Rincon Valley! Jason lives off of Mendo Ave in Santa Rosa!

Norcal,

Should have a set here this friday!!

Cheers

What, do you drive 45 MPH? I live in Eureka too and can make it to Ukiah in 2.5-3 hours max depending on traffic.

oh no, not 4 hours to ukiah, 4 hours to the campin spot on cow mountain

Well it looks like I'll be getting the Tranny and 4.0 conversion going soon! Just found a 93 Explorer in relatively decent shape for 500$ local! Has a little front end damage, but for what I'm going to use it for its a steal!

Thanks to all who gave suggestions on which route to take! Very much appreciated!

Cheers

Nemi
