I have finaly decided i want to do a SAS to my 88 ranger ext cab and idk where to get the extended radius arms and etc. so if someone could let me in on where to find them and other misc SAS necessities that would be sweet.:headbang:

It all depends on the axle you are using...Dana 30, 44, 60...etc

Which one>?

if you are using a 44 you can turn them down some some dom tubing will fit over them and extend them 15 inches and build a custom cross member/ radius arm mount

Your local steel shop :icon_thumby:

A Dana 44 is only marginally stronger (can be weaker in some instances) than the Dana 35 that is a direct bolt in swap for the Dana28.

Yes, a Dana 60 would be leaps and bounds stronger than a Dana44. Of course, you could build a Dana 80 of 14FF front axle, those would be even stronger yet. :thefinger:

And yes, it has been done...

sorry i was planning on cutting out all the coil suspension and converting it to leaf springs so this kinda hit me as a suprise and yes i should have.

ok i have read the thread here and i dont know what the hell you want to do... so here are your options..

1. replace the d28 ttb with a d35 ttb out of an explorer

2. find an early bronco (66-77) and use the front axle, coils and radius arms from that under your ranger

3. if you want to run leaf springs (i dont see any reason why you would want to) then pick up a set of axles from a 78-79 f-250, that will give you a d44 that is set up for leaf springs, high pinion axle and disc brakes, torch off the spring hangers, weld them back on where they need to be and enjoy the rough ride!!
