I got a solid axel out of a Cherokee and need sent in the right direction. I want to know if my 4" springs will work in the front with that axel. Any help is appreciated
I have a 4" lift on it now just ranger springs and I want to run 33 or 35s and its a daily driver but I like to have fun with it Friday nights after work
You will need different springs for sure. What size motor will you be running (keep in mind any possible future engine swaps/upgrades). Any bigger than 33's and your pushing the limits of the 30...
Yeah I have a 94 302 out of a f150 I want to rebuild it first tho. I have 4.0 in her now. I'm running 285 75/16 right now but want to go a little bigger
You will needa set of arms, a pair from a longarm kit will be best, frame attachment brackets (frame link brackets), tracbar and tracbar frame bracket, and the steering linkage if you don't have that from the axle....
The stock arms are designed as upper and lower control arms, and limit travel. You either need to go with a long arm kit (which changes the location of the frame mounting point of the upper arm, it attaches to the lower arm) which gives you only one frame attachment point on each side, or go with a custom 4 link setup. You may be able to use the stock jeep coil springs though, depending on what size tires you gonna run...
