not sure if it should go here or in fabrication but i was looking at the crossmembers you can buy or make for the sas. although when i see pics people usually only take them from one angle. can someone give me pics from a few different angles, along with dimensions and measurements?

thanks in advance!

I made mine as have alot of ppl. as far as measurement's there is alot that fall's into play. bracket placement. model transmission transfercase. How YOU want to run it. i recently remade mine and it is now more of a trans/xcase crossmember/ bash guard. it mount's to the frame in 4 places. there are alot of different design's out there the best way might be to crawl under your truck and lay there for awhile and just look at how you can mount in, make it servicable, and make it clear everything.

As far as a manufactured unit you might be able to find something that work's but it'll take alot of searching.

Might try Duff as it sound's like they are makin a SAS kit or going to start making one

I never made one for my truck when I did my SAS, maybe my truck is to old to have to worry about it.

Won't work on 4wd cuz of the front driveshaft.

thanks guys. i guess ill just wait til we do the swap. should be fairly simple to fab it up. some guys seemed more complicated though

it all really depend's on where the crossmember is mounted factory and where your arm's get mounted. on mine my arm's needed to be mounted RIGHT where the crossmember was

yeah im gonna be running a f150 d44 with the d44 radius arms and brackets, so its gonna be in the way. just gotta make one to fit on the inside of the frame rather than outside

On my d30 swap in put my arms in front front my cross member.

for mine, i just cut up my stock x-memb and re-welded it.
i have 2 pics of it on pg 1 of my build thread (linked in my sig)

i havent tested it off road yet, but i think it'll do

mine mount's to the side of my link bracket's and behind the link bracket's as there is a crossbar under the x-case
