I just wanna start by saying this site has been a real help with anything ranger related that ive ever done and after a few years i finally joined the site. now for a few questions. ive got a eb 44 and 9 inch that im swapping into my 97 extended cab with 6" eb coils. was looking at the rbv gallery and Nick Bomars 94 truck is pretty much the exact truck and swap im doing. is he a member on here or does he have a cardomain page? i had a few questions about the front end setup. it says in his description he cut and lowered towers? i would like to see some pics of this done if possible? also the measurement between center of coil to coil on ranger is approx 2 inches narrower than on the eb44. I would like to have my coils sit correctly and it would be a major pain in the ass to move the location on the diff side, has anybody stepped out the towers off the frame to make up the difference? also i have electric shift transfer case that has never worked properly, is there a t-case that will bolt up to my 5 speed trans with a manual shifter? As for the steering, i see a few people have used custom made steering from partsmike i believe? is there anybody on the eastcoast that does this as i imagine it would cost a few bucks to ship 1 ton steering components from ca to nj? how about tie rod ends vs heim joints? i believe after i lose the ttb front end and crappy elec shift t-case i would have the best ranger ford could have built. the truck currently sits on a 5.5 superlift suspension on 33's and is a wheel bearing eating, tie rod chewing, un-alignable motherfu**er. and im sick of working on it. The truck sees the road mostly with the occasional trail ride, so i would like to end up with a street friendly rig on 36" to 38"s with the help of a body lift if needed. thanks in advance for the help fellas.

for the t-case find a borg warner 1354 manual transfer case. look at broncograveyard.com

alright, first off, where are u located at since, ur pineypower imma assume ur from jersey, i would take a cruise down to camperbobs on rt 38 in lumberton and tell him what ur doin, hell get u to take all the measurements ull need for steering and hell really be able to help u out from that point forward, ive got essentially the same truck, just 10 years older with the EB axles....and i got a 302 and 4spd, when i goto do the steering i will be gettin my parts from bob's as he is great when it comes to customer service.

as far as how the coils sit and dropping and cutting the coil buckets it has been done on my truck and is actually REALLY easy, the coils will sit correctly in the spring buckets despite the slight difference in width, i dropped mine about 1.5", just measure the holes up that amount, drop it down bolt it up using the new holes and cut the bottom off smooth with the bottom of the frame, theres really nothing to it.... if u got any more questions or are local to the brown mills area, lemme know, id be willing to lend a hand to another wheeler/ranger owner

yep im from jersey. im in waretown, about an hour from browns mills. how far along are you in your project? id like to take a look at what youve got so far so i get an idea of exactly what im getting into. what did you use for radius arm mounts? or how about the tranny crossmember?or how about a trac-bar? i wanna have it all figured in my head before i get halfway through this and end up stuck on something stupid. thanks again.
