SAS lift question

Sooo... Then would it be too much trouble to ask someone to tell me what I need to order to strengthen my D35?

I'm still pretty new to all of this. I understand some of it, but there's also a lot of numbers and letters thrown in there that I don't quite get.

First, upgrade to 5-760x spicer u-joints, and yes, use spicer. They are the strongest joints to use over the autoparts stores, and short of the way overpriced CTM (and similar) joints, is your best bet. Read the tech library for the full circle clip mod on the axle shafts. The "Jeep" style warn manual locking hubs, extended radius arms, upgraded longer brake lines, and even though you are not going into your differential, I'd go ahead and do the C-clip eliminator mod while you have the shaft out (again, in the tech library)...

Here's some links that should help:

In addition to the Tech Library, don't forget each forum here has a FAQ posted at the top too. They often can direct you toward an answer you're seeking.

Hope that helps.:icon_thumby:

Thanks for the info and patience. I know you guys probably repeat the same things a lot, but I really do appreciate it.

These Jeep hubs.. Does RockAuto sell them? Also, when all these sites DO sell them, are they sold in sets or is it each? It doesn't really specify on any site, so I'm not sure.

Sooo back to the 2nd part of my question.. Are the parts sold individually or as a set? Also, I would still like to know if RA sells them.

The hubs come in a set, the spindle nut kit comes individually, so you'll need two sets, one per side.

I'm not sure, look it up:

I have no problem with someone saying something like “hey, you should order from here to support this site you’re posting on” But don’t you dare sit there and blatantly ignore my questions about a 3rd party site selling the parts. I’d be happy to buy parts to support the forum but I’m not about to be forced into it. Attempting to force me into it will only make me go out of my way to avoid it.

PS- I did look it up, but I'm not sure what make/model to look at.

PPS- You're not a premium member. If you're so into supporting this site that you'll risk running off potential customers, perhaps you should donate to the site.

I buy where I get the best price period, if RA is cheaper than TRS vendors tooooooooo bad it's my money!!

I don't see the problem. Sorry to step on your toes.

You don't need a make or model all you need is google shopping and part numbers.

And I was *suggesting* you support the site, no body said you have to or is gonna make you (can't really do that from my laptop now can I). Nobody can force you to do anything from a forum.

PS Being a premium member has nothing to do with anything :icon_confused:

I wasn't ignoring your questions, I was answering the parts I knew I could answer; what next time you want me to lie about the answer to make you feel better?

EDIT: Here is the part numbers for spindle washers made by DORMAN listed on ROCKAuto, All I did was search your vehicle and go to Ford > 1993 > Ranger > 4.0L > Brake/wheel hub > Spindle nut.

Part numbers:

615137 outer $6.78 (set of two)

615143 inner $8.72 (set of two).

Is that what you were looking for?

On my sas I used skyjacker soft ride front ranger coils and made my own bracket to mount it to my 44 hp. I did have to build my own track bar mount and radius arm mounts but was pretty simple. I do need longer shocks though pulled one out last time I hit a good trail.

You've been digging in the cemetary for threads, haven't you ? :D
