i got a buddy going to do sas with d44 full width and 9" rear. but i need to know what drive shafts im gonna need. the truck is a 89 ranger 2.9l 4x4 and for now i will have this engine tranny and trans for now. so what drive shaft would i need or how do i go about finding out what i need. thanx

You go about finding out what you need by putting the axles in the truck, and then measuring the length needed. It's pretty straight forward...

Highly doubted you will find one that will fit from the junkyard. If you have a good chop saw, tools to ensure you have a square cut and a welder you can make a driveshaft. Depending how good you made it you will be able to get it balanced. If you doubt your skills just have a shop make it.
