and yes ive rolled alot but that dosent mean its a rollover risk....i got it for free...it has a crap load of damage and is really just beat to piss all around....and its has rolled that many times cause i know its safe and i have no fear of actually doing anymore damage then has already been done

That is still driver error. Its just the other driver making the error.

I agree....most accidents are caused by driver error..You cannot blame the cause of the accidents on weather factors either...Example
You had a crash in the snow. You most likely were...
A:Going to fast...
B: Didn't have snow rated tires...
C:Were following too closely....

a. put your road soda back in the cupholder so it dont spill
b. put your cell phone back in your pocket
c. hurry up and finish your breakfast burrito
d. hold her steady with your knees

on a serious note. i watched a show on speed channel the other day about distracted driving. they talked about physical and cognative distractions like gadgets and stuff and eating. even distractions from other people like hot chicks. then they conducted a study where they measured this guys blood pressure and stuff when put in different situations while driving. it was pretty interesting to hear that as the distractions got worse, the guy was able to deal with them better. so we are able to adjust our driving habbits and we can learn to drive with all these distractions. NOT SAYING THAT WE SHOULD!!! but we can.
anyone else see that on the speed channel?

I didn't see that, but it makes sense. I grew up way out in the sticks where the only distraction on the road was an occasional deer or accident, then moved up here to Seattle and WOW! Driving in the city with a bunch of idiots, hot women and flashing signs really threw me off at first. A week later it was nothing to smoke a cigarette, drink coffee and snack on a twinky, while keeping my eyes peeled and still avoid the idiots that can't drive in the rain. I still can't believe that people in Seattle can't drive in the rain! What the hell is up with that?

Vehicle safety and reliabitly. I will throw in my 2 cents on my families vehicles.

96 Ranger:
Dependable. Works everytime. Has yet to break down once. Slight roll-over risk (but nothing that safe driving would cause). Good safety rating.

96 Blazer:
Okay dependable. Costly repairs when something breaks. Mutliple ABS recalls, including one that was at fault for an accident. Has breakdown multiple times and had to be towed home. Elevated roll-over risk, due to the softer suspension and top heaviness. Body parts give in easily in an accident (vs a 70's Chevy truck at 25mph). Fair saftety rating (cab is know to crumple in collisions).

94 Regal:
Dependable. Works everytime. Has an electirically issue with the main fuse box that causes other problems (easy fix). Good safety rating. Has broken down twice (once is due to negelate of the problem, second is due to a hidden coolant hose exploding).

91 Dodge 2500 Cummins:
Okay dependable (not vehicles fault, poor owner manitence). Works almost everytime. Has cooling and oil pressure issues. Good safety rating. Has broken down multiple time (owner's fault, negelate on fixing the problems). Slight roll-over risk. Simple design to fix, costly for certain parts. Can take damage and drive off. While the other vehicle is totaled.

Rangers are beasts. I completely totaled an 06 grand prix with mine. Car was torn all to hell. My ranger just had a dent in the bumper.

I belive the answer id all of the above, although A is most likely. Of course, I'd add "thinking 4WD or AWD would save you from your lousy driving." At least it seems that that is the case here in NH.

Over here it is illegal to talk on a cell phone while driving unless it is a complete handsfree system...That means if you have to push to talk or dial or something like that it is still illegal...The German goverment bumped the fine to over 150 euros (over $200) if your caught...

yea here in ny its illegal to talk and text while driving too. i try not to but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. i just tint my widows to the cops cant see. at least the tint ticket is a "fix-it" ticket.
