well i did it.. i put my 89 ranger down. towed it to the junk yard with the exploder. took what i wanted off of her and scraped the rest. 300$ for the truck. took the rear drive shaft, i locked the hubs put it in 4hi, the drive shaft would turn but it wouldnt go anywere. it only moved in 4lo:icon_confused:. when i started it, so my friend could have power steering while beaing towed it started knocking super bad lol. it was her time i guess.

after i finished the paper work. i seriousely got all teary eyed seeing her like that.

sad day for me..

I feel for ya to man.I sold my first car that got me into cars.1989 nissan 240sx.Poor thing never ran right.Rebuild the motor, fuel system, and ignition system and she still only ran off of 3 out of 4 cylinders.I still feel bad for that day.I came to realize though that it would be better off in the hands of the guy I sold it too.He took the front clip off and put a new motor and new front clip on it and turned it into a drift car.

Sorry man, but look at the bright side, just think of how many Rangers will stay alive due to parts from your old truck.

Thats true. I've salvaged many little things from other Rangers and Ford vehicles to keep mine going strong. Like the 3x bolts I needed and took them off a rolled over 2001 Ranger 4x4. Just wish I could find the 15x7 rims and the not the 16x7 off a Ranger or Explorer.

Directly the opposite here, I wanted the 16's, not 15 or 14.
