Seriously, it never ends with this damn car. Trying to sell it and today the kid was trying out the windows and the friggin window regulator snapped on the driver side front. I just replaced the passenger side front in march. Should I assume that I will be replacing the rear ones next month and the sunroof regulator after that? How ridiculous, I don't think I have ever encountered a more poorly built car in my life. That goes for an Audi S4 with issues, a neon, a trailblazer, F250 460, two Buicks, an SVT Contour (salvage title mind you), my old ranger:bawling:, and my first car the hatchback chevy corsica.

Now mind you, the corsica was both my brothers first car and my first car, the SVT and the ranger were mine too. The rest belong to my brother, mom, and dad.

Let this be the record, all of you that are part of TRS, never ever let me buy a Saab or GM POS again. If I ever mention interest just redirect me to this post. If your friend wants one, direct them to this post. Because of all the vehicles listed above, which ones do you think had the least issues?

Salvage title SVT contour: 1 issue: 3rd gear synchro (re-totaled May 07)
F250 : 2 issues: Autotrans and Rear Diff
Ranger: 1 issue: Rough Idle

CRAP! 2 regulators 275 bucks, AIR pump check valve, 100 bucks, fading door handles, fading badges, broken ridiculously over fancy cupholder all refuse to fix. 2 cracked front springs replaced by recall, front strut bearings 200 bucks, front anti sway bar ends 40 bucks, factory amp module 1 rebuilt 406 bucks...you get the idea.

Oh and I've only owned it since december 08

So after four GM's that you were apparently happy with, a problematic Saab (how much of that is GM anyway?) turns you off of them.

We have had a couple GM's in my family over the years, they have always been good to us.

I love my Ranger, but if I tallied up the crap it took the first two years I had it your list would look pretty pathetic.

that saab is more gm than saab. standard platform that was stiffened. Factory Ecotech 4 cylinder with saab turbo and beefed parts. and the short list of the Fords was to summarize the vehicles with low maintenance issues. The first buick was a lemon, legitimately was taken back under the lemon law. The second one wasn't so bad but it had transmission problems (3x) and an intake gasket issue. The trailblazer was my brothers but it had transmission and 4wd problems. The corsica leaked oil and was probably the toughest car ever driven. But it definately was a good car. Engine siezed about a month after my brother bought it but he bought it for 250 bucks and the new engine was only 150 from the yard. I get that most vehicle failure is due to poor maintenance by current or previous owners but these epsilon platform gm cars are just nightmares.

Mostly hit or miss i suppose with car branding. I am sure there are plenty of Fords out there with problems...It is just fair to say inregards to myself GM will never be a first preference.

nice short facts in the side bar btw. 1985ish :icon_confused::icon_rofl:
used for: A project
