Bought a used motor for my Ranger and the exhaust bolts are all rusty like usual so they cut the exhuast about 6 inche under the manifolds. One of the heads of the bolts is broke off and another is stripped out. how do i get them off???
Thanks
Beef

No chance of getting them out unless you heat them cherry red and turn them. I would cut the manifold away from them with a Dremel because a lot of the problem is with the bolt chank rusting to the manifold.

You can get an oxy/mapp setup for fairly cheap. it gets hot enough. Nothing without oxy will get hot enough to be effective. No chemical is going to help. Only heat. Don't bother turning the bolts without heat or you will just break off the rest of the heads.

I cut mine off, leaving just a short stud sticking out of the manifold and shot them 2-3 times a day with PB Blaster for 4-5 days, then took a 12in.pipe wrench to them-surprised the hell out of me-they screwed right out.

well its the shafts thats the problem on them, if u cut the heads off, and remove the manifold then they are alot easier to remove like u just said
