93 2WD V6-3.0L A4LD transmission. about 2500 miles on new ATF and filter

Truck was not used for about 4 months, when I pulled the transmission dipstick, it was rusty. Cleaned to bare metal before putting it back. I don't know if the inside of the tube is rusted bad like the dipstick, I did not clean it because I am concerned rust particles could get inside the transmission.

A4LD Transmission experts ... What would you do in this case ?

How would you clean the inside of the dipstick tube to be assured there are no rust flakes inside ? Can this be done during ATF fluid and filter change?

Is replacing this tube during a routine transmission fluid change feasible or too much work, it is best done only during rebuilds.

Thanks
