Rusted ... fix or ditch?

Ouch! Did you fix that or replace the cab?\

EDIT: Just read your build thread...good job!

keep it. if you want a better looking truck, get yourself a nice looking truck and hold on to that one. use it as a winter beater, as someone suggested, or If it is 4 x 4, you have a good potential trail rig.

I remember seeing something in a magazine I think Habor Freight. you could mount it to you truck and it would do something to keep salt from eatting it, some elcetical thing, they said salt miner trucks use them and they work great but I dont know am kinda slowwwwwww

We got a Trade in at work that was quite rusty, Upon inspection under the hood I found one of these systems. It had two boxs connected by wires. The left side one had rusted off the inner fender. Sounds to me like they work really well. :icon_thumby:

Like I said I herd of it, never tried it so now i guess am not going to get one. sounded good oh well thanks for the heads up

*runs to the garage to remove the dashboard*

And~???

Did you find any rust?

If that's good then the cab can be restored in most cases...if not...I happen to know someone who has a rebuilt Ranger that might be willing to sell to the right person...

Thanks Zorro for making me appreciate where I live - and to all those other of you that live with rust. That is really nasty looking. You are always welcome to come to Texas and look around for something you can tow home. Good luck.

. . . and I though fading paint was a pain.
