Rust prevention??

What's the best thing to coat inner fenders and such with to keep rust out I'm thinking paint and rubberized undercoating might work well or spray on bed liner

There are many different coatings available. I would recommend finding one that is made for that application. a good rubberized bed liner material might be good because it might be more resistant to being chipped by rocks and debris being thrown by the tires.

No matter what you use, the prep work is most important. Make sure the surface is clean before application and use a good primer.

Otherwise - "Keep truck in cool dry environment at all times."

Best way to prevent rust in our part of the country is the same as the best way to deal with Cali emissions, move somewhere it isn't a problem.

My brother and I both used Chassis saver. He put his on a couple years ago and is holding up well. I used it on my '89 F350 core support. I like the stuff a lot better than spray paint.

don't use rubberized undercoating, stuff is a mess and really doesn't rustproof anything, plus it'll flake off after a while.

Getting it sprayed yearly with fluid film is your best bet. Oil spraying is an option too but is pretty messy.

I can tell you from experience and a very bad rear main seal, that engine oil is a great rust preventative!
