running with no diff

my driver side u joint and the middle u joint in my front end is gone...so i need to take the diff out....i reallly dont have the time to take it out then put it back in in the same day.....

so my question is can i drive a little wile with out axils and a diff in the good old ttb...

i dont see a problem...but you never know!!!!

Without the diff, what would the "pinch" bolt be pinching.

Well what I did is thread another nut with a washer onto the bolt, below the upper tab, so I could tighten the top nut down onto the lower nut and washer. It was essentially pinching the bolt itself if that makes sense...

Just leaving it out you will loose some structural support in that area and the beam could fail.

Sure they are. As long as you put the hub back on after you gut the axle. Do stuff a rag in the spindle tube to keep the crap out of your hub.
