my 96 ford ranger 4.0 will idle rough sometimes when I start it up after it is warm. The other day I had driven it about 300 miles filled up with gas and got into some stopped traffic. When I went to go again it would loose power and buck and jump. It would start back up and run rough and do it again. I let it sit for about an hour and it started and I got back on the interstate it ran rough cutting out frequently if I kept my foot on the gas it would come back with a jerk it did this for a little ways and came out of it unless I had to stop then it would do it again for a little while. I had changed the fuel filter before my trip.
