Ok, so I know my new car isn't really all that big. But, its not "tiny" either - It's still about the size of a 2 door accord, bigger than a civic.... yet people still dont see me. (helps if they look) Friday I was getting something to eat, and I had stopped for just a sec to put my wallet back in my pocket when I felt a *THUD* from the front of my car! Glance up, suv backed into me. :temper: lady gets out, says my car is too small trying to be funny... anyway. Didn't do a whole lot other than scratch my bumper and crinkle some paint on it. Still pissed, but oh well. THEN - saturday morning - I got hit again!! only this time I wasn't in the car - I was in a grocery store and watched it happen - suburban backs into my car, this time hitting the passenger side fender, leaving a pretty good sized dent in it... whats the driver do? take off of course! :pissedoff: sooo Now I have scratches on the drivers side, and a nice big dent on the passenger side.... I know my car might be a little harder to see than a ranger, but wtf... it helps if people LOOK behind them before they start backing up... of course *gasp* then they would have to hang up now wouldnt they. silly me.

That is one thing I don't miss about my car, the ability to not be seen while not really being able to see anything myself. With my truck it sits high enough I can see what is going on around me alot better, without getting blinded by headlights as often or putting up with all the road spray.

I had someone back into my Laser while it was parked in my college parking lot, they cut half of the receiver's square shape into my front license plate and messed up the paint on my bumper, it took alot of pounding to get it remotely straight after that.

did you see if the grocery store had any cameras that might have gotten the license plate of the suburban? it might be bigger than a civic but its still small. you need to put some real bumpers on it so that the next time it happens, you win.

and maybe an exo cage.

nah.... i work for the company that owns all the stores in the chain. I know *exactly* where all the cameras are and none of em would have caught it :(

I was reading a post on another forum where a guy was parking his brand new Super Duty in front of the police station and some dude in a minivan slammed right into the side of him. The cops came, about 2 seconds later, and the guy in the minivan told the cops the truck was in his blind spot. Well he hit him directly in the side, the dudes blind spot must have been the whole front windshield.

i have had people back into a semi and say they didn't see it. and me and the cop on each time are like wtf? how do you miss seeing a 12 ft tall 30 ft long trailer ?and it was white on top of it.

I can beat you on that one. How about a 8 1/2 foot wide, 75 foot long, green and white truck, 14 feet tall, loaded with Nine BRIGHT Green Dodge Chargers....

"I didn't see it"

See what happens when you start driving a ricer!!!?!?!?!?!

That's just a damn shame, linuxman, to have two morons hit you. That's a nice car you've got, and you ain't riced it up at all.
