whats up ranger station peoples, truck is an 89 ranger 2.9 v6,it runs like it is either droppin a couple cylinders or running rich
question is what is fuel pressure spec suppose to be ???
it has 36 at idle and 40- 44 lbs under vacuum / acceleration ,
it almost acts like it is to much,i know fords normally run around 40 psi ( at least my 2.3 did )
wires, plugs and fuel filter are fresh ,ignition module recently replaced and timing set correctly
also almost acts worse at morning on the way to work ,if i ease into the throttle it is kinda ok?:icon_confused:

have you pulled the little vacuum line off the back side of the FPR & check if fuel runs out?? I'm with you 44psi seems a touch on the high side....but if all is good...then your pump and FPR are very soild.

maybe that you have a bad coolant temp sensor (the one for the engine computer, EMC) or MAP sensor.

Have you tried to get codes??
